I like it tight, but this is insane.

About a week ago, I woke up to a seriously out-of-nowhere tight band. No fills in the last (almost) four months, no Aunt Flo coming to visit, no cold or sinus issues, nothing out of the ordinary.

And today, 9 days later, I am still tight as a mo-fo. Ugh. I am getting tired of this.

Some days are a bit looser than others, but in general, liquids and very soft cheese is the only thing I can get to stay down. Since I HATE PB'ing, I don't push it, but you know how you can just tell? Yeah, still tight. Yesterday was a bit better, but I stuck to liquids, hoping I'd clear up any remaining swelling so that I could be back on food today.

Not so much. I'm tighter today than yesterday!

It wouldn't be so bad if the scale would go down in response to liquids, but it's holding steady. Not eating AND no weight loss? Boo hoo!

End of whine. At least for now.

  1. That sounds frustrating! Maybe you should call the doc. I hope you are able to eat something soon. And yes, I know how you can just tell.

  2. yikes. Sorry that's a long time to be back on liqiuds. Hope you have some resolution real soon
    Send me an e-mail pls @ shooter@lvemail.net - I
don't know what kind of tightness to look for - how much do I want to be able to get down - I currently have 6 ccs in a 10 cc band but I haven't lost any weight since starting solids but I'm not sure what the sweet spot is suppose to be like.

  3. Sounds like your swollen, better safe than sorry - call the doc and get some temporarily taken out. Solid foods will rev up your metabolism too, so hopefully that will help you start back to losing weight!

  4. well it sounds like your body is in the whole "starvation" mode so it's holding on to everything to sustain you. That sucks. I would definitely call and ask what could have caused this sudden change. Good luck!

  5. Yeah, a good ol' call to the doc can't hurt.

  7. That's the worst part is being hungry and not being able to eat. Hope you loosen up.

  8. i can't believe how tight you have been. do you think it has to do with the exercise? not one to exercise myself, i am not sure if there is a connection but maybe someone else knows????

  10. We are so in the same place!! I am so tight it's ridiculous. Had 1/2 an iced coffee, 1/2 a fat free plain greek yogurt with maybe a tbl of granola, two bites (yes two before I got the stuck feeling) of a burger patty (no bun) and some hummus. It's out of nowhere and so frustrating. Thinking I should get an unfill, but so afraid that it will end up getting so loose once I do if this is a blip!

  11. I hope things loosen up for you... I was like that after my last fill but it has loosened up since then. *Maria*-blogger from "This one time at BAND Camp..."

  12. I would call the dr. We didn't get the band to have to be on liquids forever! The scale probably hasn't moved because your body is starving for real food!! I hope you start to feel better, it a fine dance*restriction.
