The wedding from hell is in six weeks. Well, six weeks from Saturday...Whatever.
Here's pics of me in the dress I want to wear to the wedding. The versions on the right are from last night and the ones on the left are from about four weeks ago.
Six more weeks to look presentable - honest answers - can I do it? Or should I go buy a back up dress? Seriously, tell me, because they are having some good sales right now, and if I need something, I will go get it. I am having a hard time guessing whether or not six weeks is enough to make a difference!
And honestly, not just presentable. The very vain side of me wants to look GOOD.

you are looking great! you can probably make it, but if I were in your shoes, I'd buy a back up just in case. You want something you feel great in! use this dress as your goal dress (not final goal, you know what i mean) and have one for just in case (and keep the tags on it so you can return it if you don't wear it!)
ReplyDeleteYOU CAN DO IT!!!!
I think it will look perfect in six weeks. It already looks perfect in the arms and chest and the side view is great. The hips may be a bit tight still, but there's a difference there from the first pic. You also look tanner!
ReplyDeleteOMG! You look so much smaller!
ReplyDeleteI do think you can do it in six weeks! But the body is funny sometimes. If the sales are really good then I would buy a back up dress and save the receipt.
For me I never know how my body will react to the weight loss. One time I lost 20 pounds and didn't go down a single size. All the weight I lost was in my wrists, shoulders, and ankles. Another time I lost 5 pounds and dropped a pants size - I think it was 5 pounds of pure fat!
ReplyDeleteIf you want the dress to look perfect than I would get a back up dress. You probably could lose enough weight to make it look great, but you don't want to be putting it on the day of the event and hate it. Heck if you are like me it could look great, but if you have any doubts that night you will keep noticing any tiny issue.
BTW - you look great!
Big difference in 4 weeks. You will be totally rocking that dress in 6 weeks!
ReplyDeleteI think it looks pretty good - so in 6 weeks it should be perfect. I understand wanting a back up, but I like it. Big difference in the 2 pictures.
ReplyDeleteI think in 6 weeks you will be rocking that dress, but remember I have a couple of "fancy" dresses you could always borrow that I purchased at Dillards.
ReplyDeleteI think you will look great in 6 more weeks...but who couldn't use another great dress, especially if it's on sale.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, already such a major difference Amy!! It will look even better in six weeks. I'm the kind of girl that likes options, so I'd opt for getting another dress. You can always return it in six weeks when this one fits perfectly! xoxo
ReplyDeleteWhat everyone else said! You look great but I am a big believer in Murphys Law. If you buy another dress as a back-up, you will not need it, if you don't buy a dress, you will! Leave the tags on and return it!
ReplyDeleteYou have me thinking I should order that gown in 3 sizes just to make sure!
You've come so far in 4 weeks, but I think the way Jacquie thinks. Better to be safe than sorry.
ReplyDeletei definitely notice a difference and think you will get there..but, I would always feel better with a back up. Question -- what size are you? i have a dress (really nice but short/t-length) that might fit..it is a really pretty dress and I only wore it once. i need to look and see what size it is. Let me know if you are interested, and if so, what size you would be. it is at home in ATL so I will have my parents check!
ReplyDeleteI love the dress... You will look great especially after 6 more weeks.... So exciting! *Maria*
ReplyDeleteI don't blame you for wanting to look good! I think you can definatly see your progress! Just think how awesome you will feel in 6more weeks!
