Blah

Sorry I'm not writing nor commenting. Just feeling blah about everything. My band, my life, my husband, my SAHM-ness, my non-working-ness, my house, finances, housework, eating, not eating, weight loss, exercise, lack of friends down here, lack of babysitters down here, and so on.

At least the weather is enjoyable - low 80s during the day, high 50s at night.

I have a gyn appt tomorrow morning, and I am seriously considering asking for a 30-day (or six week, whatever is standard) prescription for something to help break me out of what I think is 'situational depression'. I'm not sure if that's even what it is, or if she'll do anything about it, or really if that's what I even need, but I need something to help me snap out of this.

I'll be back - I'm not even really leaving. I just need a day or two to process this mood.

  2. We all get into a funk sometimes :( I hope you can find some peace and get to feeling more like yourself. Don't be afraid to ask for meds to help with it all. If it helps, it's worth it! Take care :)

  9. I'm sending you all of my hugs. I think a lot of us are having the blues lately, isn't it strange how we all cycle through some of the same things at the same time. What a group we are. I hope you feel better very soon!

  11. I have moved far away a couple times in my life and I think it takes about 6 months - 1 year to feel at "home". Try to get involved in some new things - church, play groups, a class. In the meantime, an antidepressant will help you to cope with the ups and downs.

Like you said, at least the weather's good!

I wasnt' working, had no friends, family, weight was out of control (at least you don't have this one) and I generally felt like shit. Hang in there, it will pass. Hugs to you Amy!

  21. I hope you are feeling more yourself soon, but sometimes our brains do just need a little kick to get the back on the straight and narrow and I applaud your ability to talk to your doctor about it. Good luck to you!

  23. I have funks like this from time to time. No one really understands how hard it is to be a mom until you are one. You don't mean to, but you lose who you were. You'll get back. We're here for you.
